About Prince Etwire

Prince Maxwell Etwire is an Agricultural Economist and Senior Research Scientist in the Socio-Economics Section of the CSIR–Savanna Agricultural Research Institute (CSIR-SARI), Tamale, Ghana. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Otago, New Zealand, an MPhil in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ghana, and a First Class Honours BSc in Agricultural Technology (Agricultural Economics and Extension) from the University for Development Studies.

His work spans impact evaluation, monitoring and evaluation, gender and agriculture, seed systems, fertilizer and soil health, climate adaptation, and multi-stakeholder innovation platforms. He has led and contributed to collaborations with FARA, CORAF, AGRA, IFDC, IITA, CIMMYT, ICRISAT, ILRI, the World Food Programme, Penn State University, and other regional and international partners.

He currently serves in roles including Innovation Platform Facilitator for Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (Phase II), Monitoring and Evaluation Officer on several CSIR-SARI partnerships, and Gender Expert on climate-adaptation value-chain initiatives. He also provides consultancy in agri-food systems surveys, programme reviews, and cost–benefit analysis for institutions across West Africa.
